I love Top Trump cards, and if you have found your way here I'm willing to bet that you do too. SERIES 2
Introduced in 1984, a plethora of exciting & different titles followed over the years and were predominantly vehicle based, like Fire Engines, Trucks & Hot Bikes. A diverse line up including Goblins, Dragons and Fairies!
SERIES 3
Not as far reaching in terms of size, Series 3 did continue the diversity of Series 2 with some oddball titles - Spiders, Snakes, Beetles, and more. Alongside the traditional range of car packs and other vehicle titles.
SERIES 1
Essentially a Waddingtons Super Top Trumps Series 2 pack with a Winning Moves designed title card, and my packs are no different. Originally produced during 1999 when Winning Moves revived the franchise.
SERIES 2
Produced between 2000 and 2003, the Series 2 format typically featured the Winning Moves logo toward the bottom centre of the title card, often separated from the cover illustration.
CLASSICS
The first Classic packs appeared in the Series 3 format in 2003 and comprise of some superb titles. Today Classic titles are still in production; largely unchanged over the years, and joined by more new pack titles.
SPECIALS
Today "Specials" packs form a large proportion of the Top Trump publishing catalogue. Initially introduced in 2003 the Simpsons Horror pack is the biggest selling Winning Moves pack to date, with over 100,000 packs sold.
LIMITED EDITIONS
Current production Limited Edition Top Trumps began publishing in 2003. After a brief 2 year hiatus since the Little Britain pack, the NBA pack release is the latest Limited Edition pack to be published.
From time-to-time Winning Moves produce promotional packs for limited use by commercial organisations. Limitless opportunities exist, including packs for charities like this Isle of Wight Zoo Top Trumps pack - titled "Tiger Island".
AMERICAN PACKS
Recent pack innovations have been released to the US market first, like the Sea Life in Danger pack, which releases here nearly a year after it entered the American retail sector. Early Hasbro titles were US only too.
